At KCNR Radio, we’re passionate about providing a local voice for the Northstate.

In this day and age, it can feel like you’re living in a bubble—and that’s putting it mildly. We know how hard it is to get the whole picture of what’s going on in your community or across the country when you don’t have access to the right information. That’s why we want to be your source for quality news and local interest talk radio.

We believe that everyone deserves access to high-quality information so they can make informed decisions about their lives, their communities, and their country. At KCNR Radio, our mission is to create a radio version of a local town hall where people can come together with their neighbors to talk about important issues facing Northern California.

Free Fire Radio

Free Fire Radio is a local call-in show that’s all about giving you a voice, and keeping you informed with local guests and local issues that affect you.

“The more we talk, the better it gets.” That’s our motto. We’re here to provide a space where you can share your thoughts and ideas with others who are also invested in making Shasta County a better place to live.

We’re not just another talk show—we’re YOUR talk show! We want to hear from YOU, because what’s good for one person might not be good for another. Our goal is to create an open dialogue about the things that matter most to YOU: your family and friends; local news; events happening around town; politics; and anything else that affects our community.

Linda Bott

Free Fire Radio’s hostess is Linda Bott, a veteran performer who’s career has spanned over 30 years in show business and has performed around the world with her musical and theatre roles. These performances included an eight year stint as one of the Dean Martin’s Golddiggers. Linda has performed with many of the top performers of our time to include Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope and Wayne Newton. She has also recorded three albums and has numerous television appearances.

A morning live radio show brought her to the Redding area where she was on the morning team on KSHASTA “Live with Don and Linda”.

“When I met Carl and discovered his background knowing he wanted to move to the North State, I thought a talk show would be great for him. So I introduced him to radio. Its such a perfect fit. We enjoy the team work of preparing for the daily show. I try to include a lighter touch to the somewhat serious tone of the show. I have my own political bent.” Click here to learn more about Linda.
