Bigfoot Daze in Willow Creek

Bigfoot Daze in Willow Creek

Date/Time
Date(s) - 07/09/2022
All Day

Historically, the festival has been held on the Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. However during recent forest fires, the park has been used for fire camps. So join us on Saturday, July 9th this year for a fun-filled event.

This family-friendly community event is fun for all ages.  From the ever popular Themed Parade to the traditional Logging Contests, this event is not to be missed.

Started by a small group of locals to celebrate the logging industry, the festival has become an exceptional fund-raising opportunity for local non-profits, a wonderful showcase for local businesses, artists and vendors plus a great reason for visitors so come to our spectacularly, scenic community.   Each year,  a group of civic-minded citizens get together and host a fund-raising auction in December to fund the event. Both local and coastal Humboldt County businesses donate to this fundraiser and community members give generously.   A core group of organizers put in many hours of sweat and some tears so that the event has as many activities and as much participation as possible.

This is an All day Event with lots of stuff going on in town

Now that they straightened 299 West, the drive is delightful
